At Lincoln Middle School in Wisconsin, three teenagers \u2014 Scooter Terrien, Chase Vasquez, and Miles Rodriguez \u2014 showed remarkable courage when they defended their friend, Desiree Andrews, a cheerleader with Down syndrome.<\/p>\n<p>During a school event, a group of students began mocking Desiree. After realizing what was happening, the boys left the bench, approached the bullies, and stood up for her in front of the entire school.<\/p>\n<p>Their simple but powerful act stopped the bullying and made a lasting impact on Desiree and her family.
