A Mississippi baby shower has gone viral after photos from the event spread far beyond Facebook, sparking a heated online debate about teen pregnancy, parenting, and social media ethics.<\/p>\n

The controversy began when Greenwood resident Sheila Marble posted photos on April 27 showing a baby shower for a visibly pregnant girl believed to be around 12 years old, alongside a boy thought to be about 13. Marble wrote, \u201cThey made me a Great Glamom.\u201d<\/p>\n

At first, the post received little attention from friends and family. But on April 29, screenshots were shared on X, where they quickly went viral, reaching over 7.7 million views.<\/p>\n

Online reactions were deeply divided. Many users expressed shock and questioned why such a young pregnancy was being celebrated, calling baby showers for teens inappropriate and potentially harmful in how they normalize early pregnancy.<\/p>\n

Others defended the family, arguing the situation was already difficult and that public criticism was unfair or unhelpful, emphasizing that the focus should be on support rather than judgment.<\/p>\n

The discussion soon widened into broader debates about sex education, abortion laws, and teen pregnancy in the U.S.<\/p>\n
