Elsa Patton<\/span><\/span>, known as \u201cMama Elsa,\u201d became a fan favorite on The Real Housewives of Miami<\/span><\/span>, appearing from 2011 to 2013 alongside her daughter, Marysol Patton<\/span><\/span>. Her humor and bold personality even led to a short-lived 2012 spinoff, Havana Elsa<\/em>, about launching a coffee line.<\/p>\n

Born in Cuba on Aug. 25, 1936, Elsa was married to Donald Patton for 50 years and had two children. She was known for extensive plastic surgery, once calling her doctor \u201cthe man who ruined my face.\u201d Experts later criticized her procedures as severely botched, and her daughter revealed complications from earlier surgeries.<\/p>\n

Elsa suffered a stroke in 2013, limiting her appearances on the show, and her health declined in later years. She died on May 13, 2019, at 84, after a long illness.
