Joy Behar is temporarily stepping away from The View for several weeks as she travels to Europe to perform in her stage play, My First Ex-Husband.
During a recent podcast episode, Behar revealed that the production will be performed in Paris before moving to London’s West End at the Boulevard Theatre. She said the trip will also include writing and visits to museums and cultural sites.
Behar, 83, has been one of the most recognizable co-hosts on The View since the show debuted in 1997. Executive producer Brian Teta confirmed she will remain on the show through the end of the week before beginning her hiatus.
While Behar is away, guest cohosts including Sheryl Underwood and Kara Swisher will join the panel, while Ana Navarro and Whoopi Goldberg are expected to take on expanded roles during her absence.!
