Vintage kitchen tool baffles online users!!

An online user sparked curiosity after sharing a photo of a strange metal tool found in their grandmother’s kitchen drawer. While some thought it was a weapon or multitool, others quickly identified it as a vintage can opener.

This old-style opener, common before modern designs, worked by manually puncturing and cutting around can lids, often leaving sharp edges that caused injuries. Many users even shared memories of scars and accidents from using it.

Dating back to the 1800s, it was one of the earliest can opener designs before safer, more convenient versions were created. Even today, some people still prefer the vintage tool, saying it works best when used carefully.
