Comedian and social media star Laura Clery recently shared details of a terrifying accident that nearly cost her life. While getting ready for bed, a 600-pound refrigerator reportedly tipped over and trapped her against a kitchen counter while she was alone at home with her two children.
Unable to move and struggling to breathe, Clery feared she might not survive. Fortunately, she still had her phone and managed to call 911 before losing consciousness.
Emergency crews quickly arrived, forced their way into the home, and three firefighters lifted the refrigerator off her before transporting her to a trauma unit. Despite the severity of the incident, Clery suffered no broken bones and was able to walk afterward.
Sharing the experience on Instagram, she expressed deep gratitude to the firefighters who saved her life and relief that her children were unharmed.
“I keep thinking about how differently this could have gone,” she wrote. “I just feel overwhelming gratitude.”
Fans have since flooded her with support, while Clery’s story serves as a reminder of how quickly unexpected household accidents can become life-threatening.!!
