Legendary singer Barry Manilow, 82, has revealed fears that his voice may never fully recover after battling lung cancer.
The “Mandy” and “Copacabana” star underwent surgery after being diagnosed with lung cancer in late 2025. Although doctors caught the disease early and he is now cancer-free, Manilow said he was shocked during a recent sound check when he realized his voice no longer sounded the same.
“My voice—I don’t know whether it’s coming back,” he admitted, calling the experience “really upsetting.”
During treatment, Manilow also spent seven days in intensive care with pneumonia and described the ordeal as terrifying.
Despite the challenges, the Grammy-winning singer says he feels healthy and hopes to return to the stage for his farewell tour. However, he remains uncertain whether his voice will be ready.
“I’m ready to go. I just hope my voice is,” he said.!!
