Authorities investigating the disappearance of 84-year-old Nancy Guthrie have issued a separate alert for a kidnapping suspect wanted near her Arizona home.
The Pima County Sheriff’s Department is searching for 40-year-old Coral Michelle Smith over a May 29 kidnapping and armed assault near Tucson, about seven miles from Guthrie’s residence.
Police say there is no connection between Smith and Guthrie’s Feb. 1 disappearance.
Smith has a long criminal record, including convictions for robbery, assault, vehicle theft, trespassing, and disorderly conduct, and has reportedly used multiple aliases.
She is described as 5’6”, 136 pounds, with blonde hair, blue eyes, and distinctive tattoos.
