General Hospital star Kirsten Storms’ ex-husband, Brandon Barash, has been granted an emergency restraining order amid concerns about her mental health, according to TMZ.
Barash, 46, said he filed for the order out of concern for the safety of their 12-year-old daughter. In court filings, he alleged Storms, 42, has shown troubling behavior, including financial struggles, housing instability, and emotional distress.
He claimed he previously loaned her $5,000 that was not repaid and said his concerns grew following several incidents after their divorce and move to Tennessee.
Barash also alleged that in May 2025, Storms contacted him while experiencing “delusions and hallucinations” and said she was unable to care for their daughter during a scheduled visit. He stated she was later taken to a hospital and placed on a psychiatric hold.
He further claimed she reported fears of break-ins and possible substance misuse, along with episodes of hearing voices.
Storms, best known as Maxie Jones on General Hospital, has starred on and off the soap since 2005 and previously appeared in Disney’s Zenon films and Days of Our Lives.
In 2025, she revealed she underwent brain surgery and was later diagnosed with an aneurysm, leading to major lifestyle changes focused on her health and family.
