“Something’s off”: Former NYPD hostage negotiator shares chilling suspicion about Nancy Guthrie case

A former NYPD hostage negotiator believes Savannah Guthrie’s missing mother, 84-year-old Nancy Guthrie, was likely abducted by more than one person from her Arizona home. Wallace Zeins said Nancy’s limited mobility and health make a solo abduction unlikely.

Nancy was last seen Saturday night after dinner and was reported missing Sunday when she failed to attend church. Authorities have ruled out dementia, stressing she would not have wandered off. Deputies found her Apple Watch at home, and her pacemaker reportedly stopped syncing around 2 a.m. Blood traces were also found near her door, though police have not confirmed whose blood it is.

Investigators are treating the case as a possible kidnapping. Sheriff Chris Nanos has issued a public plea for Nancy’s release and said forensic evidence is being analyzed. Reports of alleged ransom notes demanding Bitcoin have raised further concern, though details remain unconfirmed.

Police continue searching areas near Nancy’s home, while Savannah Guthrie has stepped away from work to focus on her family. She issued an emotional appeal, saying the family is “ready to talk” but needs proof her mother is alive.
