Kelly Lee Curtis, sister of Jamie Lee Curtis, has died at 69.
She passed away peacefully at her California home in hospice care, surrounded by family. Jamie Lee Curtis announced the news on Instagram, calling her sister her “first friend and lifelong confidant.”
The daughter of Hollywood icons Tony Curtis and Janet Leigh, Kelly was remembered for her warmth and humor, with a modest acting career that included roles in The Equalizer, Star Trek: Deep Space Nine, and Hunter, as well as Trading Places alongside Jamie.
Jamie described her as creative, curious, and deeply devoted to family, fondly recalling her love of traditions and her habit of saying “Isten Veled” (“God be with you”).
Kelly is survived by her husband and extended family.
