She was so convinced that my golden retriever Max was a threat that she secretly abandoned him in the woods.
I searched for hours and eventually found him scared, hurt, and waiting for me.
I never imagined that the same dog would later become her baby’s guardian angel.
Months later, Max alerted us in the middle of the night by barking nonstop outside the nursery. When we rushed in, the baby was barely breathing.
