A bachelorette trip in St. Barts for Jade Jones, fiancée of NBA star Tyrese Haliburton, turned heartbreaking when their friend Makenzi Kern, 26, died unexpectedly on June 8.
Kern reportedly suffered health-related complications while on vacation. Her family says alcohol, drugs, and foul play were not factors. Known for her kindness and positive spirit, the Iowa native worked as a YMCA Membership Director in Omaha and was remembered as someone who lived life to the fullest.
Her sudden passing has left family and friends mourning a young woman whose warmth and generosity touched many lives.
