Elsa Patton’s face was ‘ruined’ by plastic surgeon: Pictures of the reality star shows how beautiful she was before

Elsa Patton, known as “Mama Elsa,” became a fan favorite on The Real Housewives of Miami, appearing from 2011 to 2013 alongside her daughter, Marysol Patton. Her humor and bold personality even led to a short-lived 2012 spinoff, Havana Elsa, about launching a coffee line.

Born in Cuba on Aug. 25, 1936, Elsa was married to Donald Patton for 50 years and had two children. She was known for extensive plastic surgery, once calling her doctor “the man who ruined my face.” Experts later criticized her procedures as severely botched, and her daughter revealed complications from earlier surgeries.

Elsa suffered a stroke in 2013, limiting her appearances on the show, and her health declined in later years. She died on May 13, 2019, at 84, after a long illness. She was remembered fondly by fans and by Real Housewives executive producer Andy Cohen for her unforgettable spirit.
