She met Donald Trump in 1998 at a Fashion Week party. At first, she refused to give him her number since he was with another woman, but he persisted. The couple married in 2005 and welcomed their son Barron in 2006.
Before Trump, Melania was linked to a few men in Slovenia, including Peter Butoln, who claimed to be her first love, and Jure Zorcic, with whom she had a short relationship in the early 1990s.
Her life changed after meeting Trump, moving from a private modeling career into the global spotlight. Even early on, she expressed confidence in his leadership, saying he could become a great president.
