Apple Fritter Bread 🍎
This easy Apple Fritter Bread is packed with warm apple chunks, cinnamon, and brown sugar, then topped with a sweet glaze. It tastes like a bakery-style apple fritter doughnut but is as simple to make as banana bread.
Ingredients:
- 2 Granny Smith apples, peeled and diced
- ⅓ cup brown sugar
- 2 tsp cinnamon, divided
- ⅔ cup sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1½ tsp vanilla extract
- 1½ cups all-purpose flour
- ½ cup butter, softened
- 1¾ tsp baking soda
- ½ cup milk
Glaze:
- ½ cup powdered sugar
- 1 tbsp milk
Directions:
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×5-inch loaf pan.
- Mix brown sugar with 1 tsp cinnamon. In another bowl, toss apples with remaining cinnamon.
- Cream butter and sugar, then beat in eggs and vanilla.
- Mix flour and baking soda, then combine with milk and butter mixture until smooth.
- Pour half the batter into the pan. Add half the apples and half the brown sugar mixture.
- Repeat with remaining batter, apples, and brown sugar. Swirl lightly.
- Bake 50–60 minutes, until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Cool for 15 minutes.
- Mix glaze ingredients and drizzle over cooled bread.
