Apple Fritter Bread 🍎

This easy Apple Fritter Bread is packed with warm apple chunks, cinnamon, and brown sugar, then topped with a sweet glaze. It tastes like a bakery-style apple fritter doughnut but is as simple to make as banana bread.

Ingredients:

  • 2 Granny Smith apples, peeled and diced
  • ⅓ cup brown sugar
  • 2 tsp cinnamon, divided
  • ⅔ cup sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1½ tsp vanilla extract
  • 1½ cups all-purpose flour
  • ½ cup butter, softened
  • 1¾ tsp baking soda
  • ½ cup milk

Glaze:

  • ½ cup powdered sugar
  • 1 tbsp milk

Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×5-inch loaf pan.
  2. Mix brown sugar with 1 tsp cinnamon. In another bowl, toss apples with remaining cinnamon.
  3. Cream butter and sugar, then beat in eggs and vanilla.
  4. Mix flour and baking soda, then combine with milk and butter mixture until smooth.
  5. Pour half the batter into the pan. Add half the apples and half the brown sugar mixture.
  6. Repeat with remaining batter, apples, and brown sugar. Swirl lightly.
  7. Bake 50–60 minutes, until a toothpick comes out clean.
  8. Cool for 15 minutes.
  9. Mix glaze ingredients and drizzle over cooled bread.
