Legendary Country Star Passed Away At Age 85!!

Legendary country singer Jeannie Seely has died at the age of 85 due to complications from an intestinal infection.

The Grammy-winning artist passed away on August 1 at a Tennessee medical center after battling serious health problems throughout 2025, including multiple surgeries, pneumonia, and a stay in intensive care. Her death comes just months after the loss of her husband, Eugene Ward, to cancer.

Known as “Miss Country Soul,” Seely rose to fame with her 1966 hit “Don’t Touch Me,” which earned her a Grammy Award. She became a longtime member of the Grand Ole Opry in 1967 and enjoyed a career that spanned more than six decades.

A respected singer, songwriter, and performer, Seely released over 15 studio albums and remained active in country music well into her 80s, leaving behind a lasting legacy in the genre.!!
