Daveigh Chase, the actress known for The Ring and as the voice of Lilo in Lilo & Stitch, has reportedly died at the age of 35.
TMZ reported that Chase died June 16 from meningitis and a blood infection, citing her boyfriend Roy Hernandez. He said she had recently been hospitalized due to malnutrition and later shared a GoFundMe describing her critical condition and difficult personal struggles.
Chase started acting as a child, appearing in Donnie Darko, voicing Chihiro in Spirited Away, and winning an MTV Movie Award for playing Samara in The Ring. She also starred in Big Love and appeared in hit series including ER, CSI, and Touched by an Angel.
Her last film role was in American Romance (2016), and she had remained largely out of the public eye in recent years.
